Grooves is a music magazine that focuses on vinyl records, both new and old. Features span from beginner's guides to deep dives into famous album artwork. For readers just starting their collections or complete audiophiles.

For this magazine, instead of photoshopping things together, I wanted to physically make these things by hand as much as I could, in the spirit of the analog nature of vinyl records. I created type from records I broke and shaped myself and photocopied pieces of paper over and over to get that distorted DIY feel.

My “Records Decoded” spread was a Runner-Up/Noteworthy Entry in the SPD-U Editorial Design Contest of 2020.
